More about who I am and why I decided to start a company
My name is Xavier, and I’m from Singapore. I’ve been interested in business and investing since I was around nine years old. Over the years, I explored many ideas—watching videos, learning on my own, and experimenting with different projects.
Some of them didn’t work out. I tried starting a school newspaper, which wasn’t feasible. I experimented with YouTube for over six months without success. I looked into investing, but due to limitations at my age, I decided not to pursue it further.
Eventually, I tried selling sweets in school. That was my first real success—I made over $400 before I was stopped by a prefect and had to shut it down. After that, I paused for a while.
One night, my mother mentioned vending machines, and that idea immediately stood out to me. A vending machine business allows me to focus on my studies while still operating a real business. It’s relatively affordable and scalable. The biggest challenge was credibility, especially due to my age.
To address that, I built a website to present myself more professionally. The cost? Zero dollars. Using HubSpot’s AI website builder, I designed and customized the site myself without paying for a domain or developers. This showed me that starting something real doesn’t always require a lot of money—just effort and initiative.
My motivation isn’t only financial. I also want to challenge the stereotype that young people are irresponsible or incapable. In Singapore, negative news about youths often shapes how society views us, and that leads to unfair limitations. I believe people should be judged by their actions, not their age.
At the moment, I haven’t officially registered a company yet. Company registration costs around $315, and my parents advised me to focus first on acquiring vending machines rather than spending money on incorporation. The company name is simply what I plan to use in the future.
If you’d like to support my journey, I’ve included a payment link. Any contribution is greatly appreciated, but support doesn’t have to be financial—sharing advice or opportunities also means a lot.
Thank you for reading my story and have a good day. (Check out the other pages of my website please)
